Siamese Cats - Health Issues
Siamese cats are generally hardy animals. However, like other breeds, they can be prone to some health issues, such as crossed eyes, for instance. In general, this fault does not present a serious problem for the cat, and does not tend to affect its behavior. The health problems to watch in the cats are umbilical hernias, heart murmurs, and kidney disease. Siamese Cats - Breeding
Each breeder of the Siamese cat tends to specialize in a different look. Potential buyers should decide what sort of look they prefer--the more refined or stockier, for instance. It is necessary to talk to the breeders about the health and personalities of the cats they produced.
In his turn, the breeder should ask you a number of questions about the sort of environment you will be able to provide for the cat. Selecting an appropriate home for their cats is the major concern of the responsible breeders.
Siamese Cats - Living Environment
These are indoor cats. Responsible breeders tend to sell their Siamese cats with a contract, which states that they should be indoor-only cats. The cats are permitted outdoors only if they are on a leash. Sometimes, it is considered cruel to always keep a cat inside. However, since most of Siamese cats have never been outside, they do not tend to miss it.
